Pump Tester
Project goal:
ATP test fixture for testing functionality of
customer pumps.
Solution:
5 station jig for fixturing 5 pumps and testing them. The machine automatically pumping the pumps and check pressure and vacuum outcome resulting in Pass/Fail indication for each pump.
Automatic Spraying Machine
Project goal:
Replacing operation of employee manually spraying liquid on sheet.
Solution:
Motorized XY carriages carrying the sprayer gun and linear actuator controlling the gun trigger. Software controlling the spray procedure and HMI for changing procedure parameters.
Automatic Chocolate Praline Coating Machine
Project goal:
Coating the upper part of a chocolate cone in white chocolate.
Solution:
The operator loads a tray of cones into the machine. The machine pushes the tray into an elevator that raises the tray, rotates it and lowers it into a white chocolate bath. While the machine is operating, the operator fills a new tray to achieve maximum throughput in a short time.
Confocal Lens Inspection
Project goal:
Post-manufacturing inspection of eye lens parameters to support R&D and manufacturing process optimization.
Solution:
Confocal probe (micro distance measurement sensor) mounted on motorized X-Y carriages.
One integrated software to control the X-Y movement of the probe, acquire data from the confocal sensor and plot surface data of the lens.
Electronics Enclosure
Precision mechanical design of an enclosure for a PCB stack, with careful consideration of assembly tolerances, connector alignment, and thermal performance for efficient heat dissipation.
